Day #6 and #7

Day 6 was the first of two days straight on the ship.  We are headed back to California.  We hung out by the pool, watched the Santa Clauses golf, ate, read ( I didn't have my patch on, so I could actually see the words) and walked around.  We did a little shopping on the cruise ship, went to some of the activities and just enjoyed ourselves.  We don't get to just relax very often, so it was nice.  We did some whale watching.  We saw tons of them.
Here's a momma whale and her baby.  At one point there were three whales all together.

Here's Mel hanging out in the pool.  It was too cold for me to get in.  The weather was just beautiful.  There was alot of wind from the ship moving so fast.  It actually helped to keep you comfortable.  I was sunburned from Mazatlan, so I kept myself protected.  I forgot to sunscreen myself that day.
Here's our towel from that night.  It was also formal night again, but I don't have any pictures of that night.  I forgot my camera.

Day 7 was still on the boat.  Poor Mel spent the day praying to the porcelain god.  He got up that morning so thirsty, so he took a big drink of water.  It didn't sit right in his stomach.  We went to eat in the dinning room for breakfast, they couldn't get his food to him quick enough to settle his stomach.  After the first episode of throwing up, there is no stopping it.  I started feeling sick, too, so I put another patch on.  I didn't want to end up like Mel.  I hung out with him in our room, in case he needed something.  I ventured out now and again.  The waves were getting really bad.  You felt them from side to side instead of front to back.  We walked up to the pool to get fresh air, the swimming pool was now a wave pool.  Gallons of water splashed out of the pools each time a wave came.  There was 2 inches of standing water on the deck with the pools.  The workers had to wear goloshes.  It was really bad.
I went to eat with my sister in the dinning room for dinner.  I sat down to order and I had to leave.  I was feeling really sick.  I didn't think I would make it if I had to wait for my dinner.  I went to the buffet to get something quick.  It wasn't opened yet.  I had to wait for a little while trying hard to not feel sick.  I was able to get something to eat and felt much better.  Mel was able to finally eat something and have it stay down.  He was fine the rest of the night.  We went to bed early that night.
We were so glad to have made it to California the next morning.  We could get off this ship, finally!
We had a long drive home.  We were so excited to see the kids, and they were excited to see us. I was glad to know that they were safe and well taken care of.  (Thanks to those that watched them for us.)  I was still feeling like I was on the boat for almost two weeks after we got home!  It was the worst when I leaned over to wash my handsor to pick something up.
The week after we got home was a rough one.  Preston was sick with the stomach flu while we were gone (saturday).  He passed it onto everyone else during the week.  I even ended up with it.  Mel said he did his share of throwing up that he didn't need to get the stomach flu.  He didn't get it.  Dalton and Preston ended up with colds and really bad coughs during the week.
Alee got a pretty good haircut from her older brother.  He wanted her to look like a boy.  This happened on Monday while we were gone.  Pictures of that to come.
Anyway, we are glad to be home to the chaos of having and being a family!!
