Time to play catch up!!!

We went to my sister's house for Christmas. As always we had a great time, ate a lot, and just hung out. We went up on Monday the 21st and stayed until Saturday the 26th. As soon as we got there, Mel had a job to go do, so he took off for a few hours. Tues was Mel's birthday. We went to a yummy Italian restaurant for lunch, went shopping and to the temple. We were supposed to do a session, but ended up doing sealings instead. One of my brother in laws was stuck in traffic, another one had prior engagements, so Mel took my two sisters and myself to do sealings. They felt a little weird, especially holding someone Else's hand. Wed night we had our annual "teeny weeny party". All things tiny were welcome. Thurs was another busy day of getting last minute things ready. Friday started early. The first time the boys woke up was 1 am. My sister set her house alarm, so if anyone walked in the hall the alarm would go off. They went back to bed. Then they got up at 5. My sister let them wake everyone else up at 5:30. Uggghh! Not happy about that!!! Alee didn't want to wake up. Santa brought Dalton a pogo stick. He had been asking for one for a long time. Preston got a talking microscope. Alee got dress ups that she doesn't want anything to do with. She will wear the necklace to it. You would think that she would like it, always wanting to wear dresses and all. Silly girl. (Such a lovely picture. Not!!!)

Mel had his 37th birthday! We celebrated his birthday with his family the Sunday before we left to go up North. We had game night with friends on the 19th. Someone brought him Depends. (We actually gave them the Depends when our friend turned 30, they gave them back.) The boys got a kick out of it when they found out what they were for. Tuesday was his real birthday so we had birthday cake again and sang to him again. When we told Alee it was Dad's birthday, she said, "Again?" We got a laugh out of that. He had a good day.
