We had my brother and his family, and my sister and her husband come and stay a few days with us during Christmas break. My brother called on Wednesday afternoon and asked if they could come down that night. We were in the process of making plans for our anniversary (it was that very day). We were going to go to dinner, instead I had to take down the Christmas tree and set up the garage room, so they had a place to sleep. Mel worked all day. Our 9th anniversary came and went. (Mel got me a hot air popcorn popper that I've been wanting and flowers. Alee was so excited when she saw the flowers, she said, "you got me flowers?") We decided not to do much for our anniversary because we are going on a cruise in a few weeks.
We ended up having a houseful! 9 extra people (and a dog) in our 1300 sq. ft home. It really wasn't that bad. During the days we kept ourselves busy. Some went repelling, we all went shooting, and hiking, and some went golfing. We couldn't have asked for better weather. For New Year's Eve, we had a yummy dinner, then played games until midnight, watched the ball drop, then went to bed. We were so tired.

Preston wanted to throw a pigeon. It twirled him all the way around.

Dalton and my brother in law, Will at the shooting range.

Preston trying out the repelling with my brother Corey and Will helping him. Corey's girls climbed up the rock, but Dalton was too scared. He has a height issue. They had fun. They were disappointed when it was time to come home.
Our little nieces were sad when they had to leave Saturday morning. We will miss them.

Happy Anniversary! You will have to plan something extra fun for your tenth anniversary! I am so jealous of your cruise. I can't wait to hear all about it. Glad you had a fun New Years.
