We have been gone for a week and a half visiting my brothers and sisters. We had 4th of July with them. My Aunt and Uncle and Grandma from Canada came down as well. The first night, we had dinner with them at their campsite. It was yummy! Then we stayed at my brother's the next three nights. We went boating on Friday the 3rd. Went to a Bee's game that night. They had awesome fireworks. The best I had ever seen, I think. On the 4th, we went to the parade in Provo. My niece was playing in a band for her school. We lost Dalton there as we were leaving. He headed to my sister's car. We didn't drive together, so I didn't know he knew where to go. Luckily, we found him. That night we had a BBQ with the family, had a pinata, and of course had a few of our own fireworks. We could see the fireworks from Thanksgiving Point from my brother's house, but they weren't as good as the Bee's game the night before.
We did the usual Sunday thing, then Monday we took the boat out again. This time Grandma came with us. She took and nap and rested the whole time. It was so windy at times. One of the tubes my nieces were playing with blew away. I went to rescue it and ended up falling in the water. Brrr! It was cold! My shoe slipped on the rocks.

We went to "This Is the place" heritage park. I really enjoyed it. They let you touch things. The kids got to lay in the bed to try out a straw bed. They made arrowhead necklaces, and bags, and the boys got sling shots. They got to go on pony rides, a mini train ride, and pet animals. It was alot of fun. We didn't see all the buildings, there were 55 of them. I would love to go there again and see them all.

This is the big train that took you all over the park, so you didn't have to ride. My cute Grandma stayed on for a while and talked to whoever would sit by her. She loves to visit and tell stories.

Fourth of July sparklers. One of our favorite things!

Waiting in line for the pinata. For some reason Alee is eating the rope.

Mel taking a few brave souls on the tube! He left Monday night to go back home. He kept getting calls for work. So he worked Tues, and Wed, then left for the Pioneer Trek on Thursday. He said it was a great experience, hard, but well worth it. He donated our chickens so they could have something to eat. I didn't think about it, but I took our last dozen eggs up to my brothers. Now I have to buy eggs until the next batch of chickens start to lay.
The rest of the week, my sisters and I made crafts, dyed our hair and went shopping. We had a girl's night out also. Good times! The time went by fast. I didn't know how the kids would do being together all the time. There were just a few fights.
More pictures to come!

I was just thinking I haven't seen you forever... now I know why!! We should go to the park again soon or something.
Looks like your trip was lots of fun!
Cinda, looks like you guys a had a great time!! Love the new sidebar pics of the kids. Especially Dalton's, he is so stinking cute!!
You should have seen the look on the kid's faces when the chickens showed up. "Horror" may be the right word to describe some of the kids.
